Some songs are bigger than words. There isn’t a write up that I can even dream up to talk about this song. This song jumped off around 8th grade/freshman year of High School. I remember buying the bootleg cassette. It’s funny because the bad bootlegs had really blurry writing on the A and B side, like they just couldn’t get it lined up right and the cassette art inlay was just one sided. Anyway, I bought this cassette and promptly wore it out within a week on this song alone. I went back and bought another copy. Now, in my defense, I wasn’t aware it was a bootleg. I was a county boy hanging out with my cousins and this corner store had a shelf full of tapes. It wasn’t until that second trip he offered me a total of 3 tapes for 15 bucks and no receipt that I really became aware that it was some ga’bage. I didn’t care though. After about a month, I had to go ahead and buy a legit copy because I was tired of the tape going bad on this one song and the paint coming off on my hands. Ok, I’ve said enough, enjoy this weeks Song Of The Week.
